NEWS from the Individualized Learning Partnership:

On July 6th and 7th, 2023, the workshop “Mobile Interventions: Improving Children’s Education and Well-Being With Mobile Technology“, organized by Garvin Brod, Jasmin Breitwieser, Andreas Neubauer, and Florian Schmiedek, took place with guests from Europe, UK, North America and South Africa. For two days, about 30 high-ranking scientists from the fields of mobile health, child development and education exchanged ideas on how synergies can be created to advance research on mobile interventions for children. Keynotes by Prof. Billie Nahum-Shani (University of Michigan), Prof. Urte Scholz (University of Zurich) and Prof. Stephen Schueller (University of California, Irvine) discussed experimental designs, implementation and analytical aspects of mobile interventions. Afterwards, the participants exchanged ideas on these topics in small groups and discussed the findings, questions and challenges in the plenary session. In addition, participants had the opportunity to present themselves and their research in short talks or in the poster session. The beautiful surroundings of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften in Bad Homburg offered optimal conditions for further exchange and getting to know each other. We would like to thank the DFG and the CERES Network (Connecting the EdTech Research Ecosystem) for the financial support of this unique event.
